In Finland beer used to be sold in plastic baskets that contained 24 bottles. They were easy to handle and you could stack them. Then came the cardboard boxes that contained 12 or 6 bottles. The longer was called “mäyräkoira” (dachshund). But now nearly everything is sold in cans and the basic package has 24 cans. The older versions are still available but not very widely.

Mäyräkoira is fairly sturdy but accidents still do happen.

I dunno, so far I have yet to lose a beer, but I’ve had way too many close calls. But like 99% of beers are the regular six pack, so it’s not everyday people buy these.

The top one can be cut in a long roll. cut into sections and only glued in one place. the top requires multiple folding/gluing steps.
